Cabalar is a family-run burger spot and butchery located in Lancaster City. We serve up tasty burgers, sandwiches, fries, and shakes alongside some crafty brews and cocktails from our friends at Mad Chef. Since 2018, our goal has been to make food you want to tell your neighbors about. An open mind, an open mouth, and stretchy pants are all you’ll need to explore Cabalar.
What Heats Our Grills
First and foremost, Cabalar is a gathering space for old friends and new. We try hard to keep the vibes positive so you can too. Bring your friends and your enemies, and share a delicious meal.
We care a lot about preparing the best food. Each burger and sandwich is crafted with ingredients to dazzle your tastebuds, and maybe make a little mess. It’s all part of the process.
Great meat from pasture-raised animals cooked to perfection. Locally grown produce and ingredients. Paired together thoughtfully for some handheld happiness.
It’s all about the sauces. We craft in-house aiolis and condiments for each sandwich. And we don’t hold back on smothering each sandwich with these slippery additions.
If we’ve said it multiple times, it’s because it is really close to our hearts to source our ingredients from local farmers and purveyors that we know and trust.
Fortune favors the bold and the stubborn…we are both. We’re going where no sandwich or burger has gone before. Let’s shoot for the moon, and if it’s made of blue cheese, we’ll add it to a burger.
Meet Steve
Steve Cabalar studied culinary arts abroad in a remote monastery in the Alps. While splitting his waking hours between vows of silence, one-on-one cooking lessons with an instructor, and pasture-bathing among the livestock, Steve began shaping the vision for a culinary marvel in Lancaster, PA. Since it's inception, Cabalar has developed a strong following of lovers of good food and bad manners. The future road is paved with aioli and pickles, let’s journey together.
